Heaven Boles is an author illustrator interested in nature, science, and sociology. She is a normal amount of obsessed with frogs (they are just very funny creatures) and so she finds herself drawing them a lot.
Born in Las Vegas, she moved to NYC to attend school. She graduated with a degree in 2D animation before pivoting to children's books and this storytelling background affects her style of story and illustrating. Her art is inspired by anime like her favorite Ghibli film, Howl's Moving Castle. Heaven loves to draw joyful, humorous scenes: kids playing, animals playing, and nature existing. So, basically, all the things that make life worth living. Her happy place is sitting in a patch of sun, smelling honeysuckles, and reading a fairytale retelling.
