Bhavana is an Illustrator, Visual Artist and Designer based in Bangalore, India. She holds a Master's degree in Visual Communication Design from Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore. Illustrations, Book Cover Design and Visual storytelling through illustrated narratives are the practices she is into.
She is deeply passionate about stories and finds joy in bringing stories of all kinds to life visually using illustrations as a tool as well as a medium. You will often find a dash of colors in her artworks that exuberate warmth, love, comfort, joy and a sense of belonging.
Bhavana specially loves illustrating Children's books and Picture books as she has always felt a deep connection with these since her childhood. The sheer joy and warmth these books bring with their enticing spreads while tackling deeper and important issues through visual storytelling is something she resonates with deeply.
When not drawing, Bhavana is often found settled on her cozy bed reading books with a mug of her favorite coffee and her cat Joy cuddling by her side.
Bhavana's illustrations have been published in the literary journal of Manipal Centre for Humanities (MCH).
