The Bottom Line
Breaking into the publishing space can feel like an incredibly difficult feat, especially without the knowledge and resources needed to know where to start. And with an industry that’s predominantly White, getting your foot in the door can feel almost impossible.
The Indie Pages was created as an online resource where emerging BIPOC indie authors can get a head start into the basics of the industry—with a focus on the creative process. From the importance of an editor to how to work with designers. We’ve broken down each part of the book making process to help you make better informed discussions about publishing your book. We hope you pick up a thing or two from here, and pass it on so other potential authors can learn and grow right along with you.
And if you have any suggestions for topics we haven’t addressed or a burning question you still need answered, let us know at info@TheIndiePages.org. We’d love to hear more and help in any way we can.
Welcome to the Indie Crew! We can’t wait to see where you go from here.
